What is the difference between chaos and order?

Some people believe that the universe is in chaos.

Those that win the genetic lottery has the best bodies, the best brains, the best circumstances and the best life.

Some people believe in order.

That no matter how messed up the universe becomes, there is a hand of intelligent design making sure that everything that is chaotic is carefully organized into order.

Here is what’s really important about understanding chaos and order.

No matter how chaotic or orderly your life is today, you have a choice right now to make the best of it.

Worrying about tomorrow brings a lot of uncertainty into your mind and that does not benefit your life in any way.

Reminiscing about your past trying to organize your thoughts thinking, “Why did this happen, why did that happen” is also futile because the past is already over – you have squandered the present moment without living it fully and that is why it turned into your past.

The present is a gift – hence the words present and gift.

Make full use of it wisely and you will be well on your spiritual path.

The Importance Of Doing The Inner Work

What does doing the inner work mean and why is it important of every spiritual seeker?

We all live in a world that promises to give us quick fixes such as:

  • Do this and you will get this
  • Lose 10 pounds within 10 days
  • Make $10,000 in 10 days
  • How to get a guy/girl with these magic phrases
  • Insert ‘magic coin’ and the universe will give you (anything your heart’s desire)

The 21st century is filled with this ‘microwave mentality’ and where it promises quick fixes and magic pills so that you can magically create all the wealth, ideal mates, beautiful/handsome body and instant bliss all within a very short period of time.

The problem with this kind of thinking is that it does not produce long lasting results.

A good example is the idea of spiritual bliss.

A person can take drugs and elevate their consciousness to a state where it induces the same kind of bliss as a person who has done the spiritual work for years. Drugs can help someone bypass the real work to attain bliss – but only for a very short period of time.

What happens after that? They hit rock bottom and they do not have the means to get back up there. Sure, they can take drugs again, but they will rarely hit the same high, and it will require higher doses which will ultimately lead them to perdition.

True bliss is attained not through quick fixes and spiritual bypasses, but by focusing on the inner work such as:

  • Deep introspection of one’s unique light (as well as not neglecting their shadow side)
  • Eating live foods that brings nourishment and vitality to one’s health
  • Working on your emotional quadrant and exercising healthy thoughts towards life and other people
  • Reducing stress and meditating on inner peace
  • Being around positive and uplifting people energetically and spiritually
  • Engaging in meaningful work that pays well and helps others
  • Using your finances properly for the betterment of one’s self and others

Good inner work produces good outer results. Not the other way around.

Here is a good example of the difference between outer work and inner work when it comes to money:

Can you exercise financial prudence and invest wisely? Can you provide so much value to others that people can’t help but look for your services? That is inner work.

On the other hand, borrowing money from the bank or credit cards, joining get rich quick schemes and cutting corners in your work so you can get more money faster is not the best way to work on your financial strength. These are temporary quick fixes and you will soon find yourself looking for money again.

Make up and cosmetics can cover the outer flaws, but healthy eating, sleeping and exercise can give you natural skin beauty that no cosmetic can cover up.

There are no substitutes for good inner work. Think of it like a nice home cooked meal prepared with love – no frozen dinner can substitute that. So just like your spiritual life, you don’t want to feed yourself lifeless junk.

2015 – Your Spiritual Advice For The New Year

As the new year looms around the corner most spiritual seekers will start to ponder the meaning for their lives as well as the ‘new phase’ their lives will be in. It is normal for us to wonder what the Great Spirit / God / Higher Powers (or whatever name you call him) has for us.

New year or times around the new year often implies a change in cycles. Instead of creating flippant resolutions or laughing it all away in a New Year countdown, here are some useful advice on how to make the new year count for your spiritual journey.

Honor the flow of the cycles

Some people might change a yearly cycle but for a few others, there might be a change in the decade which could imply a complete overhaul in terms of astrological cycles.
