There is a famous saying that goes, “Psychology without spirituality is arid and ultimately meaningless, while spirituality without grounding in psychological work leads to vanity and illusions.”

If you consider yourself a spiritual being, it is very important to do whatever it takes to remain spiritually grounded. Many people who are inclined to study metaphysics or identify themselves with spiritual beliefs think that the best virtue in life is to be as detached as possible from the ‘real world’. They think by isolating themselves from the world, they become ‘closer to the divine’.

This is far from the truth. The most spiritually minded people doesn’t need to meditate for hours each day (their daily life is a form of meditation) or speak fancy spiritual jargon. The spiritually grounded people are those who are connected to others. They manage their finances well so they do not become a burden to the earth. They exercise because they know that the body is the temple of the spirit. They are not spiritually arrogant as well because they have compassion towards all energetic beings.

Being grounded and spiritually minded isn’t mutually exclusive. They are both sides of the same coin – the Yin and The Yang. As above, so below. We have a heavenly perspective with a healthily grounded earthly mission.
